Pictorial Lines

Lines Leading to Subject:

A leading line is a line that points towards a certain subject.  It is used to portray a "focus" on the photographer's main item.

Decorative Line:

Decorative lines are lines that provide flair to the photo.  Not every single line is going the same direction in this composition.

Arrangement of Lines:

An arrangement of lines that either repeat itself or provide a variety of directions in which the lines face.

  1. I like the oven photo, my only suggestion is that some of the arrangement photos look like decorative and vice versa

  2. You did a nice job on this assignment. All of your photos do a good job of demonstrating the techniques required. My only suggestion would be to really find a subject for your leading lines, because a couple of your photos don't really have lines that lead to a subject. Other than that, you did a great job.

  3. I thought these were all really good, but some of the leading lines seemed to not have a clear subject. Other than that, they are all really nice
